Introducing Keke

On Sunday 26th January 2020, Keepers arrived at work to find a very special arrival in the Sulawesi Macaque house. The baby was born to experienced mum Jasmine and first time dad, Tambo. It was quickly sexed as being a GIRL which is a lovely change to the Primate department as most newborns have been sexed as boys. She has been named ‘Keke’ which means girl in Minahasan. She is developing a cheeky personality and is eager to explore with the support with her mum nearby. Here are some cute pictures of her aged only 6 days old. I’m excited to see her grow up and to photograph her changes as she grows.
