On Saturday 9th October, I was lucky enough to photograph some very special enrichment in the Tiger paddock at Dudley Zoo. Senior Keeper Josh had filled the Tiger pool along with some child friendly bubble bath as to not irritate their skin.
The weather wasn’t very warm however this didn’t stop male Sumatran Tiger Joao from having fun! He soon dipped into the pool, started batting at the bubbles and splashing around. It was expected more playful female Sumatran Tiger, Daseep would be straight in however she stood at the side lines and let Joao enjoy it all to himself.
With the colder weather approaching, enrichment like this won’t happen until next year but I was so lucky to be able to be a part of this fun day!
